65 territories will broadcast the 2019 Champions Hockey League Final between the Frölunda Indians and Red Bull Munich at the sold-out Scandinavium in Gothenburg. Advanced TV production and a digital-first approach will take the fan experience to the next level.

Red Bull Munich are the second non-Nordic team to play for European glory, after Czech powerhouse Sparta Prague wrote history by reaching the Champions Hockey League Final two years ago. They face the Frölunda Indians who battle for the title the fourth time in five years, having won the European trophy twice already (2016 & 2017). The Swedes will host the showpiece event for the second time after 2017. Puck drop for the CHL Final is on Tuesday,19:00 CET, in front of a sold-out 12,044-strong crowd at the Scandinavium.

Head referees will be Marc Lemelin from Switzerland and Mikko Kaukokari from Finland, while Hannu Sormunen (FIN) and Bryce Kovacs (SUI) will call the lines.

The Final will complete the 125-game schedule of the Champions Hockey League season, which began on 30 August 2018 with 32 teams from 14 countries & 13 leagues.

Further, special helmet cameras worn by the head referee’s allow the fans to see the game from ice level.
In addition, referees will be equipped with a microphone, allowing them to communicate decisions made directly to the crowd in the arena and to the audience at home.
