ASB GlassFloor is poised to make history at NBA All-Star 2024 from 16 to 18 February 2024 in Indianapolis. This marks a significant milestone in the evolution of indoor sports, as the ASB GlassFloor will be used for the first time at a live event of this magnitude in the United States. The NBA’s decision to feature the court from ASB GlassFloor underscores its commitment to innovation and leadership in basketball development.

During NBA All-Star 2024, athletes and spectators will have the opportunity to experience the groundbreaking technology firsthand during events held at Lucas Oil Stadium, which include the Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and State Farm All-Star Saturday Night, which showcases many of the league’s brightest stars in the Kia Skills Challenge, the STARRY 3-Point Contest, and AT&T Slam Dunk. This live experience provides an unprecedented setting, inviting fans to witness the seamless fusion of cutting-edge technology and sporting excellence.

At Lucas Oil Stadium, the basketball court will be set up at the south end of the venue, with approximately 35,000 seats surrounding the court. Fans in-arena and tuning in from around the world can experience the innovative capabilities of ASB GlassFloor across a 756-square-meter area.

The digital court will enable dynamic, customised court designs tailored to each event during the night. It will feature spectacular reveals and animations, live tracked players, entertainers and hosts as well as fully interactive game moments. Attendees can enjoy a fan activation that has two competitors race each other on a digital Indianapolis Speedway, navigating virtual obstacles scrolling along the court’s length. Picture a dynamic 4-point line that moves during the game, or players that are ‘on fire’ and leave a smoldering trail on the court. It’s all possible. The court excels in entertainment but also adds value by overlaying player statistics and a real-time ghost replay track during the Kia Skills Challenge, adding value for both fan and player.

“We are thrilled that our ASB GlassFloor will be used at NBA All-Star 2024. ASB’s court is on display at the Friday and Saturday events taking place at Lucas Oil Stadium during NBA All-Star. State Farm All-Star Saturday night has traditionally been a show of the most skilled players and their exceptional abilities. This is great for us as it allows us to show more interactive applications on the ASB GlassFloor court than we could in a traditional game. Our entire team is looking forward to it. It’s been a long journey to get here. Working with the NBA means ASB GlassFloor has reached a pinnacle in the basketball world. We are overwhelmed by the feedback from the NBA,” says Christof Babinsky, Managing Director of ASB GlassFloor. “Here, we can demonstrate the full range of possibilities of the court to a larger live audience,” adds Babinsky. “Fans can anticipate a basketball spectacle unlike anything seen before.”
