Beschreibung
Pursuing the vision to be Europe’s greatest ice hockey competition, the Champions Hockey League (CHL) provides 32 teams from 13 countries with the platform to go beyond and to battle in a total of 125 games from August to February to be Champions of Europe. Teams qualify for the CHL on pure sporting merits via their domestic leagues. Places per country are allocated via a performance-based league ranking. Prize money is increasing season by season to a total of 3.5 Mio. Euro in 2022/23. CHL games are currently broadcasted in 60+ territories with longterm contracts in core markets. Headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, the Champions Hockey League AG is the company holding all rights of the competition and organising the event. 63% of the company shares are owned by the 26 Founding Clubs, 25% belong to the 6 Founding Leagues and 12% are held by the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF.
